MIADP Dumingag
Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project
The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) is a Department of Agriculture initiative, funded by the World Bank, targeting the Ancestral Domain of Dumingag in Zamboanga del Sur to boost agricultural productivity for the Subanen Indigenous Peoples. The project spans from 2023 to 2028 and focuses on transitioning subsistence farming to market-oriented models through infrastructure and enterprise development.
Key infrastructure subprojects currently under implementation or monitoring include:
Farm-to-Market Roads
The Junction Tamurayan to Macasing road is 95% complete, while the 5.91-kilometer Datu Tutukan to Labangon road broke ground in March 2026 with a budget of Php 108.6 million.
Water Systems
A Potable Water System Level II covering Canibongan, Malagalad, Macasing, and Datu Tutukan underwent technical reviews in April 2026.
Consolidation Facility
The PSDA Consolidation Facility is being constructed to enhance post-harvest handling and storage for indigenous farmers.
To support livelihoods, the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) approved a Corn Production, Consolidation, and Marketing Enterprise subproject in April 2025, aiming to strengthen the economic agency of the Peksalabuken Subanen Dumingag Association. Regular monitoring by RPCO IX and the Project Support Office ensures these investments align with community needs and project standards.
