A municipally protected cave destination where conservation, education, safety, and responsible ecotourism guide every visit.

Lipawan Cave is recognized by the Municipality of Dumingag as a natural resource requiring careful protection and management. Municipal Ordinance No. 11th-4-2023 establishes rules for its conservation and for scientific, educational, recreational, and tourism use. The ordinance also directs the Municipal Tourism Office to prepare a three-year ecotourism development plan covering safety, visitor experience, facilities, signage, and environmental stewardship.

Before you visit

Confirm current access, guide arrangements, approved fees, and safety requirements with the Municipal Tourism Office before visiting. The ordinance does not allow children ages 0–12 inside the cave. Follow all committee, LGU, and DENR protection rules.
